Some Kinfolk Memories;
Playing, sleeping, kissing our feet when we were babies
Knowing every tool in the whole tool box when you were only 2
The ghost Victoria
"eat your veggies and you will have muscles like superman"
Playing in the ocean with the big dogs
Christmas at Meemaws and Peepaws
Santa gifts overload
Reading the Christmas story
Shining the laser in the beach house a few doors down then running to hide
Lollie's Fave Memory: You, me, Meemaw, and Peepaw were at the fish restaurant. Meemaw kept telling you to eat your food but instead, every five seconds we were calling each other gross names like Yellow Bellied Booger Eater and Fart McNugget and Juicy Pooper... haha, I am laughing hysterically thinking about her face. She was SO embarrassed and you were laughing so hard and so loud that I had to keep doing it. It must have went on for 10-15 minutes and Peepaw just smiled and shook his head while we giggled like crazy and Meemaw ducked her head in embarrassment Good times, good times!
Cryssi's Fave Memory: There are so many memories that I treasure.. so many laughs and good times, like playing kingdom hearts for hours on in, in the bat cave, but I think one that is the most funny to me is Virginia Hawthorne. We had convinced you and Hailey the whole week during beach week that the house was haunted. We even went as far as to leave ghost notes on the mirrors. We left a time in the note and told you that she would show up in the bat cave.. I dressed up like a ghost, and hid behind the spare fold up beds.. I was trying too hard not to laugh.. after minutes of ya'll asking me questions and then I would moan and groan answers, I revealed myself by crawling out from behind the beds... You screamed and ran for dear life... I know it was mean, but it sure was funny!
Just listing these memories makes me want to grab a box of tissue. Today is a special day. Today we introduce you to one of our precious kinfolk, our only (and favorite) boy cousin Evan. We told each other that we could not believe this day was happening. Evan was the baby of the bunch and it was an unspoken rule that "Evan was NOT allowed to grow up." We just could not imagine him 18, getting ready to flee to college, looking like a stud. With all seriousness, it just kinda crept up on us.
Let us start off by telling you a few things about Evan: he is a red headed, blue eyed cutie (ladies, he's single, but not for long!) He is a hard working, smart Eagle Scout. He is a snazzy lover of video games. But, most importantly, He has a heart as big as Texas, loving on his family and friends like no other. He desires to do good for his Savior. He is a sweetheart, a genuine precious sweetheart.
And so, when we showed up the night before to prepare for his prom, we could not help but let the tears flow. We were emotional boobs, crying about everything from his Mom Lisa's "Lost in Luxury" decor to his dad Steve's compilation of embarrassing photos over the years. We cried when he shaved. We cried when he put on his tux. And we are still crying as we load up these photos and videos. Our little buddy is growing up way faster than we can control.
So, to you Evan, thanks for being the best cousin two girls from good ole NC could ask for... Thanks for letting us snuggle with you when you were a baby, eat with you at that blue kids table at the beach, chat til late night with you when you were older, and now be a part of such a fun moment in your life. We love you literally to the moon and back a bazillion billion times. <-- that is a number, right?!
And your amazingly cool wonderfully polite and loads of fun friends... You guys are THE BEST! You trusted us when we asked you to don mustaches, lay in the road and twirl in your cotton candy dresses. You were buckets of ridiculous fun. And most of all, you have been good friends to our awesome cousin. You have been there for him when we could not, since some of you were babies. You have accepted, loved, and comforted him in the crazy times of life. And because of that, we love you all and consider you all family!
